Do you want to learn Italian in Rome?
CIAO ITALIA offers Scholarships to students through the Italian Institutes of Culture and departments of Italian in Universities around the world. The scholarships entitle the students to a 50% reduction on our Standard course of 4 weeks, and a 30% reduction on our Standard course of 2 weeks.
CLASSES:
The students will study in small groups of 2-12 with people of different nationalities who have a similar language level. The small size of the classes guarantees particular attention as well as a high quality of teaching.
THE COURSES:
Standard Group Courses
4 hours a day or 3 hours a day (for 2 students) intensive course, from Monday to Friday, for a minimum of 2 weeks. Each morning you will have two classes with two different teachers: the first one will focus on grammar, syntax and phonology whereas the second class will focus on conversation, reading, listening, writing and lexis . In about six months time the student will complete the programme, which will enable one to face the most varied communication functions.
Super Intensive Group Courses
- Standard Course + 2 hours of individual lesson a day, in the afternoon.
- Standard Course + 1 hours of individual lesson a day, in the afternoon.
Conversation Courses
2 hours a day (10 hours per week) of conversation (speaking, reading, listening, writing) in the Standard Course, for a minimum of 2 weeks. Current events, Italian culture, lifestyle, and other topics of interest will be discussed during the lessons.

Un saluto ad Andrea che dopo molti mesi in nostra compagnia è tornata in Venezuela. Andrea è arrivata che non sapeva l’italiano, ma ora è in grado di parlare fluentemente la nostra lingua

A partire dal 1945 Roma è stata il set di molti film.
Oggi inseriamo una piccola scheda su Roma e il cinema. Abbiamo scelto di usare il passato prossimo per rendere più facile a tutti -anche a chi studia italiano da poco tempo- questa lettura.
Roma e il cinema
I film più famosi girati a Roma sono “Roma città aperta” di Rossellini, “Vacanze romane” di Wyler, “La dolce vita” di Fellini, “Il ventre dell’architetto” di Peter Greenaway e “Il talento di Mr. Ripley” di Anthony Mingella.
Federico Fellini ha girato una scena famosa nella Fontana di Trevi. Papa Clemente XII ha voluto questa fontana e ha scelto l’architetto Nicolò Salvi per costruire la fontana più grande di Roma. L’architetto ha iniziato il suo lavoro nel 1732 quando ha progettato la fontana realizzando una perfetta fusione di architettura e scultura. Purtroppo non è riuscito a finire l’opera perché è morto nel 1750, così Pannini ha continuato l’opera di Salvi e ha completato la fontana nel 1762.
Peter Greenaway ha preferito usare il Vittoriano per la sua grande qualità scenografica. Questo monumento, e tutta l’area che inizia da Piazza della Repubblica e arriva fino al Tevere, è espressione della nuova Italia che nasce nel 1870. La capitale ha cambiato aspetto in quaranta anni (dal 1870 al 1911). Purtroppo per costruire le nuove importanti strade e il nuovo assetto urbanistico, gli architetti hanno distrutto molta parte dell’antica Suburra e le casee i palazzi sotto il Campidoglio.
Anthony Mingella, invece, ha usato Piazza Navona per la prima scena del film “Il talento di Mr. Ripley, e ha ambientato un’altra scena del film in Piazza Mattei, dove ci sono la bella Fontana delle tartarughe e palazzo Costaguti. Minghella ha girato anche a Piazza di Spagna (piazza realizzata da Antonio De Santis).
I registi più vecchi hanno scelto anche altre piazze e strade di Roma, come piazza Farnese, piazza del Campidoglio, il Colosseo, le Terme di Caracalla, via Veneto, ma i registi italiani della nuova generazione hanno preferito zone meno conosciute, come la zona del gazometro, il quartiere Coppedé e il laghetto dell’Eur.

Ciao Italia Schule hat die Möglichkeit Studentinnen und Studenten aus der ganzen Welt ein Sprachstipendium in Rom zu gewähren. Das Stipendium muss durch ein Italienisches Kulturinstitut oder durch eine Universität im Heimatland beantragt werden.
Um ein Stipendium zu erhalten muss der Schüler:
Das Italienische Kulturinstitut oder die Universität kontaktieren, wo er den Italienischkurs besucht. Einen Antrag für ein Stipendium von Ciao Italia bei dem Kulturunstitut oder bei der Fakultät der Italianistik stellen. Das Institut oder die Universität muss die persönlichen Daten des Studenten, der das Stipendium erhält, Ciao Italia mitteilen. Nur nach der Mitteilung der persönlichen Daten des Studenten, der das Stipendium erhält, bestätigt Ciao Italia den Antrag und kontaktiert den Studenten.Die offizielle Liste der Italienischen Kulturinstitute im Ausland ist auf der Website des Auβenministeriums abrufbar.
Wird von den Städten Hamburg und Frankfurt am Main als Institution für BILDUNGSURLAUB anerkannt.
